Professional experience

Julien Archambault practices in civil and commercial litigation. Specializing in construction law and insolvency and restructuring, he is often called upon to intervene in cases where these two fields meet.

His mastery of the law, his in-depth technical knowledge, his ability to work with both client executives and site teams, and his ability to work closely with technical experts in time analysis, quantification, project management and control mean that his clients seek his strategic advice at a very early stage in the development of their projects. Julien represents clients as well as developers and contractors, which has allowed him to develop an in-depth knowledge of the market and its players, making him an excellent ally in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations and litigation of all kinds.

In his insolvency practice, Julien represents trustees, ordinary and secured creditors, debtors and other stakeholders. He is involved in proceedings pursuant to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, as well as in efforts to avoid such proceedings.

Julien regularly publishes articles and lectures on construction law, insolvency and restructuring. He particularly enjoys tackling new topics or the most controversial issues for stakeholders in these sectors, sparking lively discussions and reflections on the evolution of these fields.
