LCM Appoints Two New Partners

11 December 2025

LCM Attorneys is pleased to announce the appointment of Fanny Albrecht and Attieha Chamaa as Partners of the firm. These appointments reflect the confidence we place in their rigour, leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence in serving our clients.

Fanny Albrecht, Partner

A member of both the Québec Bar and the Paris Bar, Fanny Albrecht is recognized for her tenacity and strategic acumen, particularly when clients are navigating crisis situations with the potential to significantly impact their operations and reputation. Fanny maintains a hybrid practice, acting on complex white-collar and regulatory matters, as well as on civil and commercial litigation files, for clients across Canada, the United States, and Europe.

She frequently acts in the defence of businesses and individuals facing allegations under the Securities Act—including insider trading, market manipulation, and Ponzi-type fraud—as well as allegations of breaches of the Act respecting contracting by public bodies.

Fanny also advises clients on internal investigations, as well as on strategies to prevent and combat corruption and money laundering.

She joined LCM in 2020 after practising at a major national firm in Montréal and beginning her career in Paris with an international law firm. She has also gained international experience practising in London and Shanghai.

In parallel with her practice, Fanny is the co-founder of the Québec Chapter of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA), a global organization dedicated to advancing women working in white-collar defence. She is also involved with Justice Pro Bono as part of the Grand Nord Program, which provides free legal services to Indigenous communities in Northern Québec.

“Fanny stands out for her determination and responsiveness, and for the trust she instinctively inspires in her clients when the pressure is at its highest.” – Sébastien C. Caron, Partner

Attieha Chamaa, Partner

Attieha Chamaa excels in handling highly technical and complex matters in insurance law, whether representing clients before the courts or providing strategic advice aimed at identifying pragmatic solutions. Recognized for her negotiation skills, she is frequently called upon to lead files through dispute prevention and resolution processes, helping clients navigate issues efficiently and, when possible, avoid litigation.

Her expertise includes construction-related insurance coverage disputes (including Wrap-Up, Builder’s Risk, and PSPL policies) and financial lines (D&O, Crime, and Cyber). She also advises clients on the structuring and placement of insurance programs tailored to their operations and risk profiles.

Throughout her practice, Attieha has defended construction professionals, general contractors, and financial-sector professionals in errors and omissions claims. This experience has strengthened her leadership and her ability to craft dispute-resolution strategies that are both pragmatic and creative.

Deeply committed to her community, Attieha has led pro bono matters and has served as a representative for the Québec Bar’s Justicia and Panorama initiatives. She has also served on the Ethnocultural Diversity Committee and on the Ethics and Professionalism Committee of the Montréal Bar.

“What defines Attieha is her sound judgment, her collaborative spirit, and the practical creativity that opens paths to resolution even when everything seems at a standstill.” – Julien Archambault, Partner

These appointments form part of LCM Lawyers’ sustained growth trajectory, driven by the attraction and development of top-tier talent. “The appointment of Fanny and Attieha as Partners reflects their talent and the trust they have earned from our clients and our teams; it also embodies our ambition to continue growing the firm by investing in strong expertise and in people who exemplify our values every day,” said Dominique Ménard, Managing Partner. This advancement further strengthens the depth of our teams and the complementarity of our expertise, enabling us to provide our clients with support that is ever more agile, strategic, and aligned with their evolving needs.
