Professional experience

Noémie is a BCL/JD candidate at McGill University’s Faculty of Law. She holds a Bachelor of Global and International Studies from Carleton University, graduating with high distinction.

Eager to learn, Noémie accumulated experience in a variety of sectors. She was a research assistant for several professors at Carleton University and McGill University, worked for Canadian Senator Peter M. Boehm, and supported federal treaty negotiations with Indigenous communities in her role in the public sector. She has also travelled abroad to serve as foreign policy analyst for the President of Kosovo. In the private sector, Noémie worked in impact investment.

Noémie has a keen interest in the intersection of technology and access to justice. At Carleton, she assisted professors in a two-year research project focused on creative technological solutions to reduce court backlog. During her first year at McGill, Noémie travelled to Kenya and spearheaded the implementation of a legal clinic that enables law students to provide remote legal information to underserved rural farmers in Kenya. She continues to manage the clinic, formalizing it as a practicum in which McGill Law students participate for academic credit. She also founded McGill’s Kenya-Canada Remote Legal Aid Club.

In her free time, Noémie enjoys hiking with her dog, learning new languages, and travelling.
