Julien Archambault and Marie-Noël Rochon included in Benchmark’s “40 & Under Hot List” again this year

For a second consecutive year, Julien Archambault and Marie-Noël Rochon have been named to Benchmark Litigation’s “40 & Under Hot List”. This recognition is reserved for the most promising talents aged 40 and under in the litigation legal community and is awarded following an analysis process that takes into account comments from peers and clients.

Julien Archambault‘s practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, more specifically on construction law, as well as on insolvency and restructuring. He represents clients in complex disputes and regularly appears before the various courts and administrative tribunals in Quebec. In the context of his construction law practice, Julien represents large private and public companies acting as promotor, general contractor or supplier on major construction projects, and assists consulting and engineering firms in a variety of fields. In insolvency matters, Julien represents trustees, ordinary and secured creditors, debtors and other intervenors in proceedings under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, as well as in implementing strategies to avoid such proceedings. Marie-Noël Rochon has a diversified practice encompassing all aspects of civil and commercial litigation, particularly with respect to securities and financial services. She regularly acts on behalf of securities advisers and brokers in connection with matters ranging from disciplinary issues to civil and professional liability, and represents them before the civil and regulatory tribunals and in the course of administrative inquiries. She also advises financial institutions, securities brokers and public bodies on the development and application of their regulatory compliance policies. Having a keen interest in governance issues, Marie-Noël also assists public bodies subject to the Act Respecting Contracting by Public Bodies in the review of their contractual practices, internal governance and risk management, and assists companies in obtaining authorization from the Autorité des Marchés Financiers to enter into public contracts.
