New talent joins our ranks

26 January 2023

As the year begins, the LCM Attorneys team would like to take a few moments to highlight the quality of the talents that have joined the team throughout 2022.

First, in February, the firm welcomed Christophe Savoie, a member of the Quebec Bar since 2017 and a graduate of the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Law. Mr. Savoie had first practiced a few years in a boutique firm specialized in labour law. Since his arrival at LCM Attorneys, he has diversified his litigation practice, notably by taking part in administrative law cases, damages, and extraordinary Norwich and Mareva remedies, which he has brilliantly mounted.  He is also involved in a major pro bono cabinet file on threefold parenting.

In March, after an excellent internship, our colleague Marianne Paquet agreed to continue the adventure with us as a lawyer. Mr. Paquet had already distinguished herself as a very involved student in her faculty, notably with the first place at the Laskin national moot court in 2019. She continues this great momentum among us, notably by developing her practice more particularly in the law of construction.

Subsequently, in August, Sean Giacobbe joined the firm after completing his internship at the Barreau du Québec in another firm specializing in labour law and litigation. He has since experienced a superb progression, being involved in files of all kinds with all the lawyers of our team, for a very varied clientele. Mr. Giacobbe is an active member of his community and has been involved in several non-profit organizations offering legal aid in Montreal.

In September, after working for five years at a boutique law firm specializing in civil and commercial litigation, Melissa Miraula moved to LCM Attorneys. She is a solid and very versatile lawyer, with a proven track record in shareholder litigation, estate disputes, financial services litigation, and more generally in contractual matters, civil liability and as well as in construction law.

Then, in October, after completing a brilliant internship with the firm, Felix Tessier has been admitted to the Quebec Bar and accepted our offer to continue his career with us. Mr. Tessier holds an undergraduate law degree with a corporate background from the Université de Sherbrooke as well as a Juris Doctor in North American common law and a LL.M. from the Université de Montréal. During his studies, he also worked in a non-profit organization in Montreal providing legal services.

Finally, at the end of October 2022, the firm was pleased to welcome Jean Teboul who joined our team after working in a large national firm for several years. Mr. Teboul, is used to dealing with complex cases and is specialized in contractual, real estate and construction disputes. He also has experience in class actions and administrative law.

We are extremely proud to be able to count on such strong new talents and are happy to share with them already many professional successes and so many more to come!
