Nicholas Daudelin

Nicholas Daudelin practises civil and commercial litigation, as well as employment law and health law. His practice includes extraordinary remedies such as injunctions and seizures before judgment.

Mr. Daudelin graduated with Honours from the Law Faculty of the Université de Montréal. He represented the Université de Montréal at the Simulation du Parlement européen and participated in the Laskin Moot Court Competition in 2010, where he won second place for best oralist in Canada. Mr. Daudelin has also obtained a Specialized Graduate Diploma in public health services administration from the École de santé publique of Université de Montréal.

Mr. Daudelin joined LCM Attorneys inc. in January 2018. He had previously worked at the firm from 2014 to 2016, before joining the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s media law group.

Mr. Daudelin has also taught the legal aspects of journalism at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).

Representation of corporations and individuals in the context of Mareva injunctions, Anton Piller orders and seizures before judgment.

Representation of clients in the context of injunctions relating to the enforcement of non-competition clauses.

Representation of individuals and of estates in the context of successoral disputes.

Representation of several hospitals and health care centers in the context of civil liability claims and access to information issues.


GE Railcar Services Corporation: Acted for General Electric, lessor of some of the tank-cars locatrice involved in the Lac Mégantic train derailment of July 2013.

Hydro-Québec: Defended a class action by a group of non-unionized employees alleging the right to maintain pre-determined premiums for their group life insurance.

Fédération des médecins spécialistes du Québec: Defended the Québec federation of medical specialists in the context of a class action instituted by patients claiming to have suffered a prejudice as a result of the holding of training days.
