LCM Attorneys would like to mark the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. May 17 was chosen to remind us that it was not until May 17, 1990 that homosexuality was declassified as a mental disorder by the World Health Organization.

Although progress has since been made to support the rights of LGBTQ+ people, it is still recent, and more work remains to be done. To mark this day, the organization Gris Montréal, whose mission is to promote better knowledge of sexual and gender diversity and to facilitate the integration of LGBTQ+ people into society, will visit our firm to shed more light on these challenges. On that occasion, a donation will be made by the firm to Gris Montréal to support its mission.

Let's all be allies to fight back against prejudice and discrimination.
