Nicolas Roche

Nicolas Roche graduated with honours from the Faculty of Law of Université de Montréal. Before joining LCM Attorneys, he practised in the civil and commercial litigation department of a national law firm.

In the course of his commercial litigation practice, Mr. Roche has represented clients involved in shareholder disputes, director and officer liability, and complex multijurisdictional commercial litigations. He has experience in extraordinary remedies such as injunctions and seizures, as well as Anton Piller (civil search warrants), Mareva (asset freezing) and Norwich orders. Mr. Roche also assists clients in the course of administrative inquiries carried out by regulatory bodies.

Representative work

Mr. Roche has represented the following clients:

ABB Inc.: Obtained and enforced an Anton Piller, Mareva and Norwich order for matters related to fraud.

State of Iraq: Defended the client in proceedings instituted in Quebec by foreign creditors to obtain homologation of foreign judgements an arbitral awards.

Teva Canada: Provided assistance in administrative inquiries carried out by RAMQ and contested inquiry mandates before the courts.

Cassels, Brock & Blackwell LLP: Defended a law firm in a civil liability lawsuit.

Régie des Installations Olympiques: Defended the client in a civil liability lawsuit regarding bodily injury.

Université de Montréal: Defended the client in a judicial review initiated by students.
