Ville de Québec v. Constructions BSL —A new landmark decision in construction law on the obligation to inform of public bodies

Delays and claims are commonplace on construction sites, leading to numerous disputes that raise questions about the parties' obligation to inform.

The Court of Appeal recently reiterated the principles applicable in this regard in Ville de Québec v. Constructions BSL inc. 2022 QCCA 1682, which may become a useful guide in the development and execution of a construction project by public tender.
